neighborhood – vecindario

Designed , hooked and felted by Gun-Marie Nalsen 2021

Rug hooking and needle felting

Hand dyed wool roving, hand dyed wool fabric , yarns and watercolors.

Framed

10″ x 10″

I saw a picture in a Swedish magazine of a neighborhood with yellow houses with shadows and the normal red house in the front, so I tried to make them up. I am quite happy with the result, it was fun to figure it out! Love the straight lines of the houses and the roofs, and I painted with watercolors the sky, just to make it more interesting!
