my studio

This is the place where I spend most of the day just making things. I do tapestry, needle felting, rug hooking, punch needle and paint with watercolors, gouache and any media that crosses my hands. It is my therapy, way of living! That is the way I exercise my hands, making different movements! I love my space!

year of the dragon, 2024

Gun-Marie Nalsen 2024

Watercolors and collage,

It was fun to invent a Dragon, doing collage with some papers I made last year, and painting the rest with watercolors. We hope that this year is good!

Painting flowers is so much fun, specially if you do it from real ones, as the rose here.

Watercolors, gouaches and ink pen.

Tadeo is 60 so I celebrated him painting a sail boat, as the one he had when he was younger. Go around the world!

Watercolors

Framed

9″ x 11″

I like mixed media. I painted the waterfall first and after that I needle felted it. It is a bit different but the same theme, the colors change a bit with the materials, but I am happy with them.

The big wave

Designed and painted by Gun-Marie Nalsen 2024

Watercolors and acrylic paints

It is amazing how the same picture can be different. The left one was made with acrylic inks,it has more character, bold colors that vibrate. The right one is in watercolors, more subdued and ethereal colors. Loved to make both, it was quite an experience!

more watercolors and collages

It is fun to paint seriously but also to make collages that you don’t know what is going to happen there!
